Somedays ...

... are just one of those days!  It doesn't matter what happens but everything just winds you up.  Take Buddy for instance.  Now don't get me wrong I love the crazy loon but uggghhhhh sometimes he just annoys me for fun.  I can be walking along enjoying our time in the park and then out of nowhere he just starts barking at me and giving me grief.

Well there are days when it just washes over me.  But then there are also days when I've just had enough.  This was one of those days.  It looks like my bottom fangs are about to go into his juggular but they didn't - he's still alive and well! :)

Look how white our teefles are?!  Those are some good strong gnashers we've got there.  Mom says it helps having a Dentastix every day but I think it's all the sticks we chew!  Those fibres sure do get into the nooks and crannies.  :)  Speaking of teefles Mom says she has to go to the dentist next week for a check up.  Glad we don't have to do that.

MINE!

Every time I get a stick to chew on, pull apart or whatever Buddy HAS to try and take it from me!  Why can't I just have something for myself once in a while?  I don't take his stuff, not that I would want it.  Well... I only take his stuff when he's not looking.  But this was MY stick first so NO! You can NOT have my stick Buddy.  Get your own! Grrrrrr

Friends

Ahhh!  A beautiful day for a walk with friends!  

This is Pip (with us above).  She's a schnauzer cross and lives with Mom's friend Penny.  She walks with us nearly every day and she's great fun.  She doesn't like water too much, like Buds, and often when she gets near it she has a bit of a "mad half hour" chasing everyone around and barking up a storm!  It's quite funny to watch.  

She also has a never-full stomach and can often be found with her nose in something she shouldn't.  She quite enjoys Indian food, doggy snacks, fascinators, inside Penny's handbag, everyone else's snacks, things she finds on the floor during our walks and so on.  In fact I don't think there is a thing Pip doesn't like to eat.  She's quite like Blue-y that way.  Pip does like to take it easy on our walks too, she's always bringing up the rear, unless there is a snack in someone's hand and then she can get the wriggle on.  I love to wrestle with Pip but Buds always tries to break it up.  Boooo!

Pip has stayed with us a few times and you always have to keep an eye on the contents of your bowl.  She also loves the sofa and Mom says that Pip even has her own sofa at home!  Lucky thing.

Introductions Part 1

We wanted to introduce you to some of our friends properly.  The first one is Cara.  She's a rescue too and is about 4 years.  Cara was the first friend I made when I arrived in the UK and got out of quarantine.  We played together nearly every day, twice a day sometimes too.  We loved to chase each other and wrestle and generally gad about.  It was great.  You can see a video Mom took of us playing in a post below.  

Anyway we gradually grew apart as Buddy came to live with me and Jumble came into Cara's family.  We still see each other nearly every day but for some reason we don't really play together much anymore.  I think it is because when Buddy first came to stay he was a bit too rough with her and tried to do "naughty business" with her too which she really didn't like.  I guess it maybe put her off hanging around with me because it meant that Buddy was always going to be there too?!  Ah well, one of those things Mom says?!

Uh-oh!

This is me with my favourite ball in the whole world!  I was playing with it a few days ago and as you can see was waiting patiently for Mom to pick it up and throw it.  How cute do I look? :P

Anyway, it's a good job Mom took this photo because about 3 minutes after this it ended up at the bottom of the lake. Waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!  

My heart is broken!

Oh woe is me!

Ole orange-y ball is ne'er to be seen again!

I don't think I'll ever get over thi.... wait is that a tennis ball???????  YAAAAAAYYYYYYY, throw the ball, throw the ball, throw the ballllllllllllllllll! Nom!

Mom said I should tell you that she tried to get the ball out but all my crying was quite off putting.  She nearly fell in the lake trying to finagle it out of the muddy lakebed.  Bella didn't help as she kept grabbing the stick Mom was using and Blue-y kept roo-roo-rooing for biscuits.  Thank Dog for Uncle Colin and his bag of treats (nommy sausages and Markies) and a "new" ball.  Yay I LOVE Colin.

It wasn't long though before I nearly lost the "new" ball too.  We were walking over the bridge at the park and the ball slipped out of my mouth and bounced through the holes in the fence and into the lake!  Boy it sure wasn't my day.

See?  Mom even took a photo of it floating!  Luckily my super swimmer friend Millie (that's her below in the middle) went in and got it for me!  She's pawesome.  She was even so nice as to let me have the ball back as soon as she got out of the water!  Her Dad Paul thinks she a wuss (whatever that is?) but I love her for it.  :)

Bella on the other hand is a pain.  When she gets the ball she will NOT give it back.  I have to bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark some more (see me in action above) and she still won't let it go.  She loves to wind me up with it.  The only way I get it back is if Mom gives her a biscuit and then she'll drop it.  Me?  I'd rather have the ball!

PS Of course I love to wind up Buds, he gives me nothing but grief some days so this is his payback! heheheh!

Tag Team!

This is me playing tug of war with Pip (the grey schnauzer cross) when Blue (the Lab) decides it's time for some tag team wrestling type thing! It's only short so take a look see :)  I think we may need to re-jig the weight classes though, doesn't seem to be quite right ;)  Mom filmed this in August 2011 which is why again there is no Buddy in the movie.  (I think she's trying to get the older videos uploaded first so you can see how we've all grown and what have you!).

Bella & Cara in the Rose Garden

This video was shot in April 2011 (which is why you don't see Buddy!) and as you can see I'm looking really fluffy!  :)  This is my friend Cara.  I think she's a lurcher crossed with something else but I'm not too sure.  She's a rescue too so I don't think her mom really knows her lineage?!  We had only recently met and so we didn't know quite how far we could push the wrestling and rough 'n' tumble!  You'll see it goes a smidge too far at one point :P ooops.  We're still friends though tee hee!

Blue's Tug o' War

This features my friend Blue (the shorter haired Lab who is also a rescue) who LOVES it when someone tries to steal something he's found. ;)  He was real friendly with the other Lab until he decided he wanted Bluey's big stick.  Teehee.  I was kind of playing referee in the "battle" but then as you'll see I end up getting it in the neck, so to speak!  If only Blue would learn to share ... tut, boys eh?

Back to an old favourite!

We've been back to walk at our old haunt - Stanley Park.  Yay.  We love the park as there are lots of other doggies to see (including old friends) and lots of birds and squirrels to chase.  The only downside is that although there is a big lake and lots of little ponds we're not allowed to go for a swim. Booo!  But these past couple of days we've had a blast as there was a "new" lake to swim in.  Even though Buds was complaining about all the rain it gave us a place to splash and paddle in.  Buddy even got himself thoroughly soaked through in all the excitement.  I don't know why but he doesn't like being wet and makes such a fuss of drying himself.  If there is a way around a big puddle he will take it rather than go through it, like me, just to save getting his paws wet. Big wuss :P

This was our new pond.  I think Bud liked it because he could still keep his paws on the ground.  Whenever he goes in the pond at our usual walk he'll only go as far as his shoulders.  Mom is dying to get him to swim but I don't think he will unless Mom goes in the pond too ... heehee, can you imagine?

Another video

Arroooo! We have another video on YouTube! It's only short but we like it.  We have some more to add this week too but mom is really busy trying to find us all a new house.  She says its too expensive to stay warm where we are (but we think she just needs to grow a fur coat like us! hee hee).
